How long does it take to make a website?
Depending on the project requirements, it can take from one week to a few months or more to conceptualize, design, build, and test a website. Once we have a completed questionnaire from you, we are able to create a detailed proposal that outlines the estimated timeline for your project.
Are you familiar with web standards?
Yes. All of our websites are designed in table-free, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. We validate our code with the W3C Validation Service, but mostly because it catches errors and helps with browser compatibility.
I already have a web developer. Are you willing to work with my developer on a website?
Absolutely. Because we are familiar with coding websites, we know what is involved in creating designs that are easy to develop. We can also handle the development of a design you created yourself.
What is a content management system (CMS)?
A CMS is a web-based interface that manages all aspects of a website. It allows individuals with little or no knowledge of HTML or other web programming languages to make changes to a webpage. This setup frees the client from having to rely on a web developer to make minor changes. Although up-front costs for a CMS are higher, long-term savings in both time and money make it a worthwhile investment for most projects.
I already have a website, but no one is visiting. Can you help?
Absolutely. Search engine optimization (SEO) is one of our primary specialties, since we believe it is an essential part of the web design process.
All of our websites are built for SEO on a basic level: page titles, keywords, and descriptions are matched to what your audience is likely to search for; code is well-structured to allow search bots to easily index your pages; and proper document headers and ALT tags for images are in place.
What is SEO?
Search engine optimization is the process of getting a website to rank as highly as possible in “organic” search engine results. Organic results are the results you get when you type in a phrase on Google or Yahoo! These results are different from sponsored (or paid) results, which you’ll typically see on the right or at the top with a “sponsored link” tag. Organic results are free, and are arguably the best form of advertising you can possibly have.
SEO aims to get your site as highly ranked as possible for certain “keyword phrases.” If you are in the consulting business and have an office in Denver, your audience is likely to search for “Denver consulting” or use similar keyword phrases. SEO involves finding what these keyword phrases are and optimizing your site so it shows up when these keyword phrases are entered by your potential customers.
