  • I want to update my own website. Is this possible?

    Absolutely. We specialize in building websites that can be maintained by our clients without having an expensive web developer on call. Websites built to be self-managed use what is called a Content Management System, or CMS for short. This is simply a user-friendly, password-protected platform that lets you sign in and make changes whenever you want, from any computer that has internet access.

    Because you have control over much of your website, a CMS can save you time and money. We specialize in CMS development, and we’ve worked with a variety of different systems, including ExpressionEngine and WordPress.

  • How long does it take to build a website?

    Most websites take at least 4 to 6 weeks from creative discovery to initial launch; however, there are countless factors that can influence this timeline, from complexity of design to client responsiveness to added bells and whistles. Smaller websites that are purely informational can be deployed in as little as 3 weeks, while complex social media sites can take several months.

  • How much does a website cost?

    Because all of our solutions are custom-tailored to each of our clients’ specific needs, the price of every web project is different. While we don’t have a “one size fits all” solution, we can tell you that our least expensive websites begin at $1,000 for a one page “splash page” and go into the tens of thousands for larger, complex web applications.

  • Who owns the copyright to completed website design work?

    Typically, once we receive final payment for our work, we transfer full ownership rights for the website designs to our clients. We reserve the right to display designs in our portfolio, unless our clients request otherwise.

  • What coding languages do you use?

    For front-end development, we utilize the latest HTML5 and CSS3 specs. Animation and other fancy effects are accomplished with jQuery, a popular JavaScript library.

    For back-end development, we work exclusively with PHP and MySQL.

  • What is a content management system, or CMS?

    A content management system is a web-based, password-protected application that makes it easier for both client and web developer to update the client’s website. It provides at-a-glance information on the data (text, images, pages, etc.) on a client’s site. A CMS also makes it easy, via WYSIWYG text editors and an intuitive interface, to add, edit, and delete text, images, and other media from a website.

    Two popular CMS platforms in which we specialize are ExpressionEngine and WordPress.

  • When my website is finished, who owns the copyright?

    Our standard practice is to transfer full ownership rights to our client once final payment is received. We reserve the right to display the website in our portfolio, and to use it to otherwise promote our business, unless our client requests otherwise.

    Absolutely! We have relationships with a network of select printers who can take the hassle out of almost any printing project. We can manage your printing needs for a wide variety of marketing materials, from presentation folders to business cards and stationery.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept checks and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).

  • How will my payments be structured?

    Depending on the size of the project, we may require up to 50% of the total project’s cost in advance, with the balance due upon completion of the project.

    Depending on your project and your budget, we can be very flexible, and may agree to break the payment into multiple installments.

    We never work on spec, and require a deposit from first-time clients before commencing work on any project.

  • Are you hiring?
